It's there on the senate website. I believe it still has to go through the HOR (it might have already) but the way it's going, I'm sure it will pass. I think it's pretty neat, I'm glad we're getting more structure and guidelines in our country!

AMERICA RULES!
Now it's politically correct if I say "This is America, speak English!" I hate when people move here and only speak another language, like the 3883275 billion mexicans.

You are 100% accurate. When my Ancestors came to America, they had to learn English. There were no Teachers who would teach Norwegian to the Norwegian Children. If they could not speak English , they could not attend Public School. Why is favoritism being aimed at the Mexicans ??

That only defines how the internal processes of the Senate work.
It's not constitutional to prohibit anyone from speaking another language, or to force anyone to speak English -- that was ruled on by the US Supreme Court 90 years ago.
And if all laws are published only in English, then anyone who cannot speak English can legally use a "ignorance of the law" excuse because they are no longer under constructive notice of the laws.
It's not as easy to change as people might think.

Frankly, I didn't know that. In fact, I checked your link, did a Goggle search, and as far as I can determine English still hasn't been made the official language of the US.Congress is just going through the motions like it does every couple years on this issue. In fact, had it actually happened it would have been headline news and I didn't see it. As of now, I'm thinking you're mis-informed.

Some Americans when they hear a conversation between people from other nationality they interrupt and ask, Are you talking about me? . First, we need to learn good manners and when someone is talking is not our business what they are saying and second it looks that Americans are having a complex because they don't want to learn another language

Don't let these people fool you. Get off your butt and recall these people that are suppose to be representing you if you feel they are not. Yes the language is English but you must the Representatives are after these votes.
Here on more for you to chew on. Government employee are not citizens and are not suppose to vote.

That's obsolete. It lists Dayton as one of Minnesota's senators. Klobuchar is our senator now.
By the way, right on the page it says "May 18, 2006, 05:00 PM"

You might have missed it, but that was in 2006. The Senate passed it, the House did not.

That's funny. I don't speak English. The British speak English. I speak American, (English that's been murdered.)

For some obscure reason that completely escapes me - the democrats - once again - will squash this bill.
Go figure.
