guess my age? tongue piercing?

hi
by the way i speak, can you tell how old i am?

i want a tongue piercing by the end of this year. its just simply something i want. i know its 'taboo' and frowned upon but i know the risks and the way corporate america looks at body piercings. it is slightly immature and doesnt make much sense at all but im more urban and underground orientated than anything else.

by this, can you determine how old i am?
(dont presume im a minor/adolescent just because i haven't pierced my tongue [yet])

Actually that presumption is more likely to arise from the fact that you say you want it in spite of all the reasons you give against it. Your individual identity is not yet well formed, since you say you are "more urban and underground orientated than anything else", and the consideration you give to "corporate America" in flouting their expectations. I would say probably about 15. Why are you asking this?

Well, you must have a job or you wouldn't care about corporate America. And you must think a tongue piercing is a big deal. You seem to be out of your comfort zone, but are proud of that fact.I sense you don't have an authority to give you permission to do this because you've already made up your mind to have it done soon. So I'd say this is along the lines of a mid-life crises sort of deal--you're in your 50's.

Well seeing as you are writing a letter to try and have people guess how old you are by the way you speak I would have to say that you are in your teens. Adults would write a letter about their concerns and ask questions about the risks of a tongue piercing - which by the way there are many and I say this as I have had mine done for nine years and have studied the pros and cons. So if you are not in your teens then you acting like it because you should not be asking how old you are.

i would say you are around 50-65, maybe 53 if your looking for accuracy 63 jus popped in my head tho. you use terms like "frowned upon" and "taboo" which i think would make you from the era where people were on communist witch hunts. I think you ask because you expect people would be surprised by your doing this I would say you still work and are maybe concerned how people at work and those around you will view your new piercing. If it will reflect something about you that you want people to see then you should do it.

I am guessing you are between 28-36???? I suggest you Go for it because if you decide you dont like it later on, you can ALWAYS take it out or hide it. (unlike a tattoo) Your tongue heals so very quickly, but make sure you are NOT allergic to nickel or silver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF you are more urban and underground then you are probably already with a career you are comfortable in (creative/arts perhaps?) As long as you are a good worker, financially stable and dont think you will need to be interviewing anywhere in the near future, go with what feels right to YOU as an individual.... people who like you wont change thier mind about you because of a dumb peircing. they might be a little shocked though but oh well, maybe it will inspire them to be a little wild too!
