Yeah I think your right because in this country that allows speech, ideas, and actions to be freely expressed, everything that you disagree with (what is "wrong" with the country) as well as everything that you agree with (what is "right" with the country) is allowed and able to be played out.

i feel war , crime , terrorism are not based in general on opinion, but on power
yes , ones opinion can be they should have power, they are better then others,
but, that is not saying that across the board freedom of opinion and speech cause those things
war, crime, and terrorism, in my opinion, lol, are based on distancing oneself from being a human, a spirtual human, i am not speaking of religion, but of soul
self defense is acceptable, any other violence is not, yet here, even in good old USA, we allow violence against children, the most innocent, we still even dress it up and call it "spanking", so how can we not expect these children to grow up and think the one with the most power, the biggest, rules and wins and hurts
that its ok to be violent if your cause is good enough!

I think what's right and what's wrong with this country help make it better, in a strange, odd, good way. Giving up freedom to get more freedom. When you think about it, your not really giving up your freedom, you just have more security around us nowadays, that doesn't bother me at all. I feel safer the more cops we have on the streets and regular dressed undercover cops on buses and subways. Everything is normal as usual all over America.
We are still living in a pre 9/11 world, but with ADDED SECURITY and PROTECTION. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Crime and terrorism are NOT based on "opinion". They are based on the premise that one can achieve one's values (whatever they may be) by inflicting force upon those who do not share those values.

Wars begin this way also, but surrendering to a declared enemy who has initiated the force is the surrender of whatever you may claim to be your values, just as it would be to allow criminals to commit their crimes against you unimpeded.

The greatest thing about this country is freedom of the MIND. You are free to be wrong in your ideas, but not to avoid their consequences in practical reality.

let it all hang out--freedom! let anyone do whatever they like, right? nothing wrong with the country at all--it's just delusion that there are people starving and homeless, crime everywhere, but what the heck, it's just a matter of opinion. if you're one of the lucky ones with a decent living, there's nothing wrong with america the beautiful unless a thug rapes your daughter or invades you house.

We all think we're sooooo smart. The reason those very things have become also the wrong things, is because there is no moral or logical discernment. Those rights are only rights when they are treated with the respect they should be treated with.
