My friend would like to get a breast lift because after breast-feeding her daughter for about a year, her boobs had "drooped" and she kept telling me how she wants a breast lift. To me, I personally don't like breast implants/breast lifts/or anything that has to do with the human body + needles + knives. It's obviously her body but I'm concern what might happen. Serious answers, please.

there is no study available that indicates plastic surgery to the breasts increases or decreases the risk of breast cancer.

Emma, cancer of the breast is extremely rare in teens. Breast tissue is essentially pretty lumpy unless there's a good layer of fat over it. My understanding is that the lumps which are tumors don't hurt until they're quite large. You probably have either fibrous adenoma (a fiber-filled lump, perfectly benign, which may shrink and enlarge according to your menstrual cycle) or a breast infection. If you have pain, tell your mom, and tell her you're worried about breast cancer. Ask her to take you to a doctor for his/her professional evaluation. When the doctor says, "What seems to be the problem?" you simply say what you said here, to us.
