Why would you possibly want to selectively stop your brake lights from working?? Sounds like you are up to no good...figure it out yourself.

Is this so you can run around with the lights off and not have the brake lights come on? So that you can sneak out of the house?

All you need is a switch. Cut one of the wires on the stoplight switch beneath the dash, above the brake pedal. Then hook the switch in series with the two ends of the wire that you cut.

With the switch open the lights will not come on, with the switch closed, the lights will work normal.

You will also want to take a look at the license plate light too.

They are very eay to replace if you are talking about the switch that turns on and off the brake lights. It should be covered under warranty on a 2007. If you really want to do it yourself, when you go to a parts store to buy it, you can ask the salesman to show you where it is located. Usually they will happily help. Your car is also probably too new to buy a chiltons manual but you can get that at just about any parts store also. It explains basically the whole car and how to replace just about everything.
