Sapp has a few wheels left on the bus. He was apart of that defense that was like 2nd in the NFL. He can still rush the passer as well as be affective against the run. He has always been one of the most athletic interior tackles in NFL history. So the weight loss really takes some pressure off this older legs. But i honestly think he will have a decent season 50 tackles 6 sacks.

Warren sapp is a smart guy. He's not really that good, but he acts like he's crazy so people believe he is a great football player. The next time I see him dominate a game will be the first time. BTW the raiders should take a nose tackle with next years #1 draft pick. #1 overall AGAIN.

I think that lost weight will help him out.

However, my prediction is that mid-season, the Raiders defense is ranked in the top 3 and Oakland's record is 0-8. Warren Sapp says enough of this bull$hit and retires.

I am not too sure that he will be effective in his old DT position. Since he is lighter, he will be quicker and have less of a chance to get injured, but when the opposing O-lineman outweighs him by 50+ lbs., it will be hard for him to jam the middle. I think they would be better served to move him to DE in their 3-4 scheme. He used to play that position when he first came into the league with Tampa. With his new found speed and quickness, he might be able to hit the corners harder and get to the QB. That would give Oakland a better chance of creating turnovers, and would also take pressure off of their LB's and CB's.

Loosing weight is not the answer to doing better. Zach Thomas MLB from the Miami Dolphins lost 20 lbs and did worst then what he did the next off-season (which is this years stats) He improved his size with muscle got bigger trained harder then lead the NFL in the 06-07 with 166 tackles and 3 Sacks. To answer your question he will do worst.

He came off a 10 sack season so i think he will get about 6 to 7 sacks. Losing those pounds will make him quicker but not stronger.

I think he has one more good season left in him, and I think that is this year. He had 10 sacks last year to go along with 47 tackles which, from the defensive tackle spot is very good.

Warren will be fine. He is about his playing weight when he first entered the NFL. Faster-absolutely, stronger-possibly, he should look like he is everywhere.
