Ok starting up my 10 gallon aquarium at college.
Probably gonna get some
Cory Cats (2) or Angelicus Cats (2)
Dwarf Gouramis (1 or 2)
White Blushing Angelfish (2)
Random Tetras
Random Guppies
Random Platys
Pleco (1)

Obviously im not putting all these in my tank. Just wondering if anyone had a couple suggestions as to fish i may not have thought of putting in my tank Thanks!
Anyone know of some good top feeders besides angels, some barbs, rainbow fish, and upside-down cats?

I would certainly drop the pleco and the idea of Angelicus cats, they would both outgrow the tank quickly. Angels will also outgrow a 10 gallon in fairly short order. 2-3 corys, 1 dwarf gourami Either guppies or platys, but only 2-3 and all males, and 2 schools of smaller tetras would work well for a 10 gallon.

I love these opinion questions. There never is a perfect answer, since it is an opinion. Here is mine: The angelicus cats are beautiful, and one of my favorites. They will get much too big and will be too fiesty for your little tank. In a 30 gallon, it would work, but I think they will be too crowded in a 10. Corydoras are the cats to get for a 10 gal. Dwarf Gouramis, various tetras, guppies, and platys will all be fine. I would strongly recommend you leave the angels out of the equasion, for the same reason as the angelicus. Golden wonder killies are an inexpensive top feeder, as are african butterfly fish. You could add some live plants like anubias or java fern, along with a small piece of driftwood. The plants I recommended are not really edible to the fish, so they won't get eaten. You could also get kuhli loaches, striated botias, Dwarf clown plecos, otocinclus, red cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp, and Japanese algae eating shrimp.
