I recall that during the first half of his first term, he was advocating extensive infrastructure repair and maintenance. Bridges, highways, railways, dams and levees. However, when the Republican-led congress began to scream "tax cuts for the rich", he was blocked from doing anything about preventing the disaster that happened Wednesday in Minnesota. The old folks used to say "A stitch in time, saves nine." How long do you think your car would last if you never changed the oil, tuned it up, or rotated the tires?

Not much but he did ignore the biggest threat in hopes that it would go away. Ignoring problems and appeasing the opposition is not leadership but far too often people dont see problems if it doesnt affect them directly
