Not true at all... Jeter is great about signing autographs, especially for kids. Try to show up early and hang around as close as you can while they take BP, I got a Sig that way (and I'm a guy and no kid). But some days will be better than others, depends on a lot of things. Remember, ball players are people too.
Oh... "puedo tener una dedicatoria?" is "can I have an autograph" in Spanish. Ballplayers are more likely to give one if you ask in their own language. Robbie Cano and Melky are also two great guys, they like the attention.

Just get there real early (when the gates open), ask polietley when it's a good time for them, and hope for the best. I know Mo is real nice about autographs just from personal experience. So is Derek Jeter and also Robinson Cano! (Cano gave me a ball once before =] ) But yeah, thats just what I know from my experiences, I'm sure many more guys are willing to sign something for you before or after BP.
Oh yeah, I almost got one from Posada too, but by the time I got there, he was done signing.

Most athletes dont sign autographs for adults, because they are under contract with companies that sell their merchandise [and autos].
Some DO sign for kids, but even then, they wont sign the sweet spot of a ball or glossy photos, they'll only sign programs and baseball cards...just in case mom and dad are using junior to get a 'graph that the parents will sell on ebay.

listen this is a true story about a week or two ago i dont remember when the yanks were at the royals stadium i was waiting for the yanks to come out . jeter and posada came out in a taxi and i chased them for 2-3 miles then i saw a-rod coming out so i chased him in hiis envoy for 4-5 miles and there wasn't anyone within 500 feet of him except for me and i was yelling please please and he still wouldn't sign. the most a player ever payed attention to me was when every one was sitting down and being half way quiet i screamed a-rod for mvp and he looked over and smiled. and also told him i am tired of chasing him in the parking lot and he hade no reply.

If you can catch Jeter when he's not locked in an embrace with A-Rod, he'll probably either ignore you when you ask for an autograph or tell you he'll come back to sign, but never will...
