early periods?

I was just wandering if any one knew what the reason of an early period could be, i had a horrible uti about a week ago ( it was my first) and I started bleeding like a period for about 4 days but it was a week an a half early from what my period usually starts, could the bleeding have came from the uti or could it have been an early period??? anybody know

Sometimes being stressed such as like when having an infection can cause the period to start early. I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor as well for additional information.
