Relax! This is very Easy! Would You Rather Be Hated? Or Ignored?

I think I'd much rather be hated. When someone hates you, it means that you ultimately have power over them. You've taken up a vacancy in some part of their mind. They can't let go of something.....

I cannot stand being ignored or neglected. That's the absolute worst. Ugh.

Easy? For who? All people suffer both in varying forms throughout their life. Both are extremely negative things to have to accept and also it requires knowledge to understand how you can affectively counter both of these things. It is interesting to me why you would ask this particular question. Perhaps you have personally felt either or both of these things at a high level before? It would of course then follow that you would be curious to see how others have reacted or feel about this.
The answer to this question can only be neither.

As the Glenn Close character in "Fatal Attraction" said, "I will NOT be ignored!"

Ever since I was a young boy, I have dreamed of being dictator of a Banana Republic. On warm summer days, I would lay out in a corn field, close my eyes, and dream of riding in a huge Cadillac convertible, while throngs of underfed, shoeless peasants threw flowers and cheered for me.

I knew they secretly hated my guts, but their forced display of adoration only made me revel more in my absolute power.

hated. because those people that hate me dont realize they make me who i am. they make me want to prove them wrong. they also hate and ignore, and id rather be ignored if the person has a reason.

I would rather be ignored. If someone hates you, you never know, they might want to hurt or harrass you, and that's no fun. Ignored...definately ignored.

Hated. Then at least you're disliked for your own qualities, whereas if you're ignored the person thinks you're not even worth their time. Both are pretty bad.

Ignored. It has less emotional ties with it, hating me shows feeling.

How another person feels about me might be important if that person is someone I respect. If I do not respect the person then it mattters not if they respect me. As a matter of fact, if I find this person not worthy of my respect it is likely due to his or her behavior or attitudes. In that case I figure I'm ahead if he/she doesn't like me. That means I am more like a person I would respect and less like a person would not.
