Spray them with water (a high-pressure spray setting on one of those variable nozzles). This knocks them off the plant. Just dojn't use a spray that is so strong it damages the plant. You can then use a spray bottle with a solution of water and dishwashing liquid for maintenance. Spray it heavily on the plant. The aphids should stay away. If they come back, repeat the process.
You want to avoid chemical insecticides with any type of food-producing plant. The insecticide can leach into the plant, causing the produced food to be contaminated from the inside. Dishwashing liquid is pretty much non-toxic.

Knock Aphids off with a strong spray of water.
If that doesn't get rid of them, spray them with 1 oz. Ivory Dishwashing Liquid to 1 gallon of water.
There's one home-made insecticide that's referred to as the "US Department of Agriculture Mix. It's nothing more than a mixture of two teaspoons of clear dishwashing detergent in one cup of practically any vegetable oil, which is shaken vigorously and then added to a quart of plain tap water. It can be used on virtually any plant for the control of soft-bodied, piercing/sucking insects like aphids or mealybugs. Apply as a spray every nine or ten days".
Also for aphids, mites, mealybugs & other soft-bodied insects: Use 1/4-cup of Murphy's Oil Soap in a gallon of warm water.

or...
Mix one tablespoon vegetable oil & a few drops of Ivory soap into a quart of water. Shake well and spray. The oil smothers the insects.

Use Diatomaceous earth (DE), a naturally occuring substance harvested from the ocean floor. Put in a plastic squirt bottle & squirt on the plants. It cuts insects & pests to shards.
For the long term control encourage beneficial insects ...ladybugs, lacewings, preying mantis.
Good luck! Hope this helps.

Dissolve Epsom Salt in water and spray with a bottle. It will drive the aphids away and cause your pepper plant to double its production. Do not use Table Salt, that will kill the plant. Use Epsom Salt only.

Aphids are really irritating insects, what i do with them is spray them with chili water (Chili soaked overnight in water) or tobacco (the ones left when smoking)and a little detergent. This will kill the aphids but not burn the leaves and it gives extra protection. Good luck!
