How thick are they really? Do they even no they exist? Why do they crawl by humans; do they not know they are about to die?

You could say the same thing about people. I mean we invent things like cars and then go crash them into each other and get ourselves killed. Most of us never see it coming....there's just a "BAMM!", and suddenly it's all over!

They aren't aware that you have the intention to kill them. They do know they exist, otherwise they would not feel the need to feed and sustain themselves. The brain of your average insect or arachnid is, bluntly, two swollen and conjoined nerve endings with a primitive lobe located directly behind the junction. In other words, the bigger the bug, the smarter. A wolf spider doesn't know a feeding routine in captivity but a tarantula does. They really don't percieve you as a threat as much as they percieve you as a tree.

Why are you wasting your time asking this question? Are you really that dumb? None of us have ever been spiders, WE DON'T KNOW! Go ask a spider, hopefully it will bite you...
