I am now suddenly seeing a lot of ads popping up on my computer and how to make them go away?

I had Norton, but it expired and I decided to go with someone else who also has spyware and firewall protection. These ads have been showing up since I deleted Norton. My pop up blocker is on and I have done a spyware scan.

the easy way is to download and run programs like ad-aware aqnd spybot. if you are confortable modifying your registry....you can manually remove them. if not run ad-aware and spybot they will help.....probably not 100% but will make it better

There called POP UPs. If you are using IE 7 turn on the pop up blocker. It's in TOOLS.

If you are still using IE 6 - go to tools and click on Windows Update - and do all of the updates.

Firefox has a pop up blocker also.

Do a scan for SPYWARE.

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Internet Options and click on the privacy tab. Check the box that says Turn on Pop-Up Blocker. Click on Apply and then on OK,
