I dont think the Yankees are going to sign him based on his 500th homer. He will get it, he just needs to relax and it will happen.

Hahaha that might be the worst analysis I've ever heard. First of all, most players will never come close to 499 home runs so there is no problem with him needing a week or two to hit number 500. Second of all, him taking 10-15 games to hit that home run will have no impact on whether or not the Yankees try to retain him for next year because they are still winning now. Finally, it's A-Rod that is going to opt out of his deal and leave the Yankees and he might not even want to return to NY, so it's not even the Yankees choice if he leaves.

well, i think that if arod doesnt sign with the yankees again, it will be because of his choice, not because of the yankees not wanting to sign him. as far as not hitting 500, i think hes just really excited about it, its a big deal. just give him some time, hell hit it soon enough. hes anxious and he is swinging for the fences. be patient, hes doing his best and hes extremely anxious and is loosing patience. everytime hes at bat there are flash bulbs all over his eyes. hell hit it soon enough. :) go arod!!!

I think his problem is up until he got to 499 he hadnt had a much pressure to get it then wen he got to 499 he folded under pressure and im sure hes thinkin bout y barry bonds cant hit his homerun to.

Every one is saying he needs to hit a HR and he's taking too long including me,butt i think we need to think about it he hasn't hti one in about six games, where players like pujols and other hitters haven't hit one longer than that it's just that A-Rod is under a microscope right now because of the milestone. Lets just let him take his time, you see what happens when when you try to rush you go 0-21.

He does not do well under pressure.

When he seys flashing lights around the staidum he panics and just focuses on hitting home runs.

If you focus on hitting line drives you the home runs will come.
