Changing the battery in the remote should not deprogram the remote if done correctly. See page 99 of your owners manual
The remotes will only work to "lock/unlock" when the ignition is in the lock/off position. If you're testing the results of reprograming, with the key in the ignition & the ignition in any position, other than lock/off, your 'test' will give you the situation that you're describing ( in your other question)
You may program up to 4 remotes & you must program them ALL at the same time.
Try reprogramming again, using the EXACT directions on pages 97-99 of the owners manual.
I will provide the link to download your manual in the sourcebox below.
The download is FREE (taken from Fords website) & in pdf format. You should save the manual to your computer for future reference.
I hope this helps.

Be sure you put the new battery in facing in the correct direction.
If you have a second RKE, try it to confirm that the truck is able to receive the signal from it. If a second RKE doesn't work, the problem is likely in the truck. Is the antenna connected? Any work been done on it recently? Check the fuse for the door locks (maybe on the power windows circuit, if it has them).
Aside from that, did the RKE device get wet or have something spill onto (and into) it?
If you can take it apart and are able to access the circuit board, is it wet, or does it look like something spilled and dried on it? If so, circuit boards can generally be cleaned with isopropyl and water (rubbing alcohol 70%). First remove the battery. Then swab the contamination with a cotton ball or small brush 3 or 4 times, then dry it off with a facial tissue. Let it dry thoroughly (1/2 hour in a warm sunny place should be good), then replace the battery and try again.

ive replaced the battery on my 04 cobra keyless get entry to and alarm and not in any respect had to have it "reprogrammed" in step with hazard in case you permit it die thoroughly and dont exchange it suitable away you will possibly desire to have this completed. stupid question, yet did you place the battery in with the "+" and "-" dealing with the staggering direction? in case you probably did this, and you're ensuring the battery you put in became a stable one, and you didnt get it moist or something, then i could say ya, the guy above might desire to be staggering and you will possibly desire to have it reprogramed.

If you changed the battery already it may need to be reset. See your local dealership (regardless of where you bought it) and they can reset the frequency for you.
