The Madman's Tale ~ Katzenback (I think that's who wrote it.)
Black Order ~ James Rollins

The first is more of a thriller but it's packed with some action when the time comes and the second is pretty much none-stop, it's probably the better of the two. Just go to James Rollins website to read the summary if you want.

Here are some:

http://www.life -after-harry-potter.com

(Error with Y!A made me put a space after life)

Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, and a short review of each book.

I would also recommend:
Jules Verne
..20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
..Mysterious Island
..Journey to the Center of the Earth
..Around the World in 80 Days

The Verne books are all available online free.

I hope this helps.

Try reading Some of the Tortallan Quartets by Tamora Pierce, but make sure that you read them in order: The song of the Lioness; The Imortals; Protector of the small. You might also like some bookes by Garth Nix: Sabriel, Liraiel, Abhorsen. and if you like some scifi, try Enders Game.

The 21 Balloons by William Pene du Bois is actually a children's book, but it is very good. It is interesting, exciting, and a little strange. Wow, I forgot about the Bloody Jack series until Pirate Lady mentioned it! They're AWESOME!

Of course, Harry Potter is the standard answer.
Other than that, Bloody Jack is probably my favorite adventure series, or LOTR.

my favorite author ever, that no one has come close to is chuck palahniuk. he keeps you soooo interested. his older stuff is best, but the newer ones are great too. titles include choke, lullaby, invisible monesters, etc.

a second auther would be max berry, jennifer government and syrup were great!
