"U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a Minnesota Democrat, suggested Bush administration spending on the Iraq war may have crimped funding for domestic projects such as road and bridge construction, and for such infrastructure projects as new levees for New Orleans.

"We've spent $500 billion in Iraq and we have bridges falling down in this country," Klobuchar told MSNBC. "I see a connection between messed-up priorities." "

The failing bridges were noted during the CLINTON administration. Nothing was done about it. The New Orleans Dam break was noted during the CLINTON administration. Nothing was done about it. Warnings of 911 were HANDED OVER TO CLINTON during the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. Does this old bitty not see a connection between SITTING ON YOUR HIND END and doing nothing with PLENTY OF WARNING, then leaving it for the next guy to clean up??

As I recall, Clinton had more than one term in office. So what was his excuse then? To busy bobbing Lewinsky??

Oh God! THANK YOU! Someone else who can see what a disgrace she is to us Minnesotans. "A bridge in America shouldn't just fall down." ????? She went from reprimanding the BRIDGE to ripping the Bush Admin. God, she's such an idiot. And now more people know it than before. Keep it up!

The Republican-held congress of Clinton's first term were too busy screaming "tax cuts for the rich" to listen to him. He wanted to fund infrastructure repair and maintenance, but was blocked from doing so by his congress. I was disappointed in his failure to fight for this issue, and I continued to be disappointed for the rest of his administration.
