I wasn't raised with air conditioning, and don't have a unit.
Since I wasn't raised with it, I guess I'm just well equipped to tolerate the sweltering. But I enjoy the coolness when I go to a store or to see a film -- and I don't feel guilty about it, since I'm not polluting the planet with a car [haven't had one in nearly six years.]

I don't. I worked outdoors for 25 years in as much as 113 degree heat. My old house is cool downstairs. So I don't
need it. (And I get breezes from the River)

we only use ours when its above 80 out we dont really start running it till may...because its about to go out and they are 3,000 we cant replace it...plus i love the spring air!
