Explains the unexplainable.
You may think you don't need an explanation. but you are young. When your friend dies (either sitting next to you getting shot, or by a virus that infected them but not you), you have something called "survivors guilt."
There is no good answer for, "Why not me instead of him/her?"
That's where God comes in. It was part of God's plan that you will never understand, but it is right.
Or do you want a sarcastic answer about opiates of the masses, revolutions and afterlife rewards not costing the local leader anything.:)

Guess that mostly depends on your belief. For me the point of God is a funny question as I believe he created life, as we know it. So I couldn't ask 'what's the point of him' without him because he is the reason I exist. Follow that?
Generally, the point is to have faith that something greater than us exists even we don't see tangilble proof of it on a daily basis. And to have an accounting for our actions. Did you know that soon after Darwin's publications on the evolution of man, all types of crimes increased? The explanation could be that once people felt there was nothing or no one to answer to, they could act without boundaries.
Food for thought.

He created the heavens and earth and ever thing and ever one, his only son Jesus Christ can save you from hell , that's the point of God, if you need to know more , then pray and read the bible, its a wonderful , terrific book, I promise you want get bored reading it , you are sure to learn much needed information, if you've only read it once , then please read it again, its at the top of my suggested reading material for friends and enemies.
