Remember right after everything went horrible on 9-11, and he spoke to our nation to let us know that we were not alone, that Britain stood with us and was our friend? I remember how vulnerable it felt to be in a country under attack, and I remember how it felt to have him strongly stand with us and let us know that we were not alone in the world. I may not have agreed with some of the things he did, but his reaching out to us when we were as a country in such pain made me have great respect and good feeling for him. Nothing before or since about him has mattered as much as that moment, I will carry it in my heart with gratitude forever.

And, wasn't it always great to watch him handle Prime Minister's questions? That man is SMART!

As far as I can tell, He's a British version of the Clintonian Democrat, in that he compromised much of his party's platform continually in order to pander for votes. I was also unimpressed with his unquestioning, almost subservient allegiance to the faulty intel and corrupt plans of the Bush administration and its foreign policy. But most of all, I think Tony Blair defines the modern, telegenic, "say-anything, mean nothing" successful politician.

I thought he was an intelligent , articulate, insightful leader who was one of the few people in Europe apparently who actually gets what the Islamist threat is actually about, and got beat over the head for it. Just because he sided with the US and the anti-American media, who are much more concerned with doing anything they can to stick it to America then accurately reporting or analyzing stories and situations started calling him lap dog or whatever. This is precisely what happened to Churchill when he tried to warn people about the Germans, except without the anti- US rhetoric to go with it and the result is going to be the same it's just going to take longer. OOOOOOPS!!!!

Tony Blair, I think he did what he thought was best. Some may agree, or disagree. That is the jest of it. Have a good weekend.

A leader in a difficult time who made decisions that, while a lot of his countrymen disagreed with, he made anyway That takes guts, and true leadership. If we end up with a liberal in America, I hope he has guts too. I discount she because if Hillary wins, the whole world loses.

Can't stand the guy. Introduced more legislation in his 10 years, than all other governments did in the rest of the 20th century, and I feel less safe now than I did when I was a kid.

Lots of new laws prosecuting the law abiding, and pussyfooting around, bending over backwards for hoodlums and deadbeats.

Scrap human rights laws, they only protect those who should not be protected

i liked him at the start, increasingly less so as time went on. Shameful the way he ended his term as Bush's Representative for England.

As an American I liked him. I thought he was noble and did what he thought was best for his country. He had class and was a good diplomat.
