I agree with Captain Computer, but he did fail to mention one more possibility, If your RAM is not seated properly, your monitor will not light up, and if the RAM is bad,, same thing, try to reseat the ram and if it doesnt woirk, try a known good stick and see if it works, if not, buy a peripheral video card

I wish that I had a simple solution for you but I don't. I'm certain that you must have checked already but are you sure that the monitor cable is plugged in correctly? Sorry, but I had to ask.

It almost sounds like the video card might be bad. If you have video when the system is doing it's POST at startup but you lose it when you get into Windows, I would suspect that it was a driver issue but the way you make it sound, you have no video whatsoever.

Maybe the on board video is disabled in the CMOS. Unfortunately if you have no video you can't see the CMOS settings. One thing you can try though. If you have an old PCI video card kicking around you could plug it into a PCI slot and hook up a monitor to it to allow you to at least view the CMOS (BIOS) settings. Maybe the on board video is disabled. Most motherboards that I have seen have this setting set to "automatic". This means if you don't have an add on video card installed the on board video is turned on but when you plug in an external video card the on board card gets disabled automatically.

Good Luck,
Captain Computer

It looks like your PC would not even POST. Try clearing CMOS, then reseat the 4 pin 12V ATX connector and RAM.

Also try a bare minimum set up; NO FDD, CD drive, HDD, one stick RAM and nothing on the PCI slots and USB ports. This setup should be able to POST and open BIOS menu.

If problem persists, claim warranty on that board.
