serve that term in the US or get deported to Mexico???? (hypothetically saying that they are from Mexico) Or, do they serve half of it in the US and half of it in Mexico???
Any sort of help would be greatly appreicated. Thank you.

They will serve their time here in the US where the crime was commit. Unfortunately we will have to once again take care of a convict that should never have been here in the first place.I wish he would be sent to Mexico to serve his time. They are really rough on their prisoners,not like us.

If the foreign national, regardless of they are Mexican or not commits a felony in the United State and are convicted, he/she will fulfill the term of their sentence and then be deported to there respective countries. As of July 2006 there are over 39,000 Foreign Nationals Are Housed in US Prisons.

They do their time, in an American prison. An immigration detainer will be lodged, so as when they get released Immigration will be notified, and they will be picked up at the point of release. They will then be deported.
