Its not as bad as it used to be, I think they've made laws against frivolous lawsuits, thats a good thing. I was getting tired of hearing about a woman suing because she burned herself or 400 pound kids suing because they couldnt push the plate away.

Absolutely, The problem is the size of the settlements / decisions that people are being awarded make it seem like a get rick quick scheme.

I know this is going to sound cold but what needs to happen is that the federal government needs to set caps, and I mean low caps on how much intangible things are worth such as human life, pain and suffering, mental anguish etc.

As soon as that lady who burnt her lip on a hot cup of black coffee at McDonald's was awarded 2million dollars every deadbeat in America said "hey, I can get burnt"

oh, yes. it's insane. if a lawsuit gets thrown out, it should be mandatory that the person who filed it gets fined $100.000.00 and their lawyer gets 5 years in a federal penitentiary. that should slow things down.

If people could sue God for waking them up every morning instead of letting them sleep, they would sue Him.
