I use it in my aquariums, didn't know it was hard to get. I bought a 40 lb. bale years ago and still have some, but they're expensive. Try this link for smaller quantity http://www.secretgardenrareplants.com/catalog.cfm?category_id=16 RScott

Osmunda is a fern. Why do you need a fern to repot orchids? All you need to repot Orchids is orchid bark that you can purchase at any garden center that sells orchids or even online. Orchid bark is just bark with some charcoal added.

You mean you use a dead fern to plant orchids it? I'm new to orchids so this will be interesting.

You want sphagnum moss to plant orchids in, you can find it at most stores that sell house plant supplies. You can buy it online but the shipping cost more than the moss usually.
