No - eye color can skip generations, but also you could have both had a non-dominant hazel eye gene that decided to make an appearance in your son's genes. My aunt is blue eyed and my uncle green eyed and they have a hazel-eyed child as well; she looks just like her father (the green eyed uncle), though.

If everyone ever born had the same eye colour of their parents, there would only be two eye colours ....... what colour were Adam & Eves eyes? Well whatever it is that would be the eye colours of everyone. Don't sweat it, it happens..... but as someone else said, you could always go for a DNA test if you really beleive she's been unfaithful, but don't make that decision based on eye colour.

I appreciate your concern however this site will allow you to actually see how both you ( and parents) and your wife ( and parents) from the description given it is absolutely possible that the colour of your child is nothing to be concerned about.
Taking into account that your grandmother has brown eyes it is possible.
Try the next few pages on from the link.

No. My mother's eyes are green, my father's are blue and my two brothers and I all have hazel eyes. Both of my brothers married brown-eyed women; one has a hazel-eyed child and a brown-eyed child. The other has a brown-eyed child and a blue-eyed child. Brown is approximately 75% dominant, but there remains about one chance in four that blue will emerge. Hazel can be a product of either color. It's not exact regardless and the percentage is not etched in stone.

Eye color is polygenic, or in other words that it relies on more than one gene.
In fact eye color is made of at least 6 genes, which when turned on increase the amount of melanin in the pupil.
Even if your eyes are green, you may carry some genes for more pigment in the eyes. The same for your wife.
To be truly sure, you will have to take a DNA test and match half of your son's DNA to yours. A paternity test, after all eye color is just one small part of DNA.

In genetics, even though your wives eyes are blue and youre's is green,it does not matter because eyes uses six kind of genes(yours, wives, your parent in laws, your parents, your grandparents and your grandparents in law)
, maybe colours from those six will mix and may that is the initial color of your son's eyes but sooner or later it will like your's or wives

Brown eyes can be associated with green eyed people (off spring). Mixing green eyes with blue can make hazel or honey color due to recessive genetic traits. When in doubt, swab it out.

Studies have shown that brown/hazel is always more predominant over blue/green.
If there are other signs that the child may not be yours I suggest u have a DNA test on the sly.
Good luck

Your son's eye color is no indication of your wife's fidelity. Eye color is the result of several different alleles, not just one. So in your case: green + blue = hazel. However, her lover, if she has one, could also have green eyes, so get a paternity test if you are truly worried.

She has very likely been unfaithful. The child probably isn't yours. Under the law, you have the right to order your wife and HER child to leave the marital home. The CSA will act on your behalf to recover any monies which you have laid out in relation to the child e.g. Cindarella Barbie gift set, school uniforms, food, shoes, Bratz, love and comfort.
EDIT: SORRY, I MISREAD. I THOUGHT YOUR WIFE HAD A DAUGHTER, NOT A SON. IT WOULD BE ACTION MAN, POKEMON CARDS, WWE LIFE-LIKE FIGURES IN THAT CASE.
