I'd go for it. It sounds as if you're worrying about it, and it will be the last thing you need to be doing with a newborn hanging off you.
My husband didn't build our cot until after I'd had the baby. Because he'd been up for a couple of days whilst I was in labour, it took loads longer than normal, he got really frustrated, and I was bored in hospital waiting for him to visit!
Throw a blanket over it so your family don't see it, if necessary!
Many congratulations and best wishes for the birth.

I would go ahead and put it up. I'm 37wks and already have the bassinet up. The last thing that I'm going to want to worry about when I get home from the hospital is that. You should get everything for the baby ready now while you have the energy cause the baby can come at any time. That way when you come home from the hospital you can enjoy your baby.

Put it up while he is there. If anything is going to happen to your baby, it will happen whether you put the cot up or not...
We had our cot up for a couple of months before the due date.

I had all of my baby's stuff up since i was six months pregnant and he was fine and I still went into labor with him on his due date, but with this pregnancy, i am more superstitious because its twins and more prone to be born early and have more problems anyway (im 8 months now). We have not set up anything yet for these two, which we will probably later regret. so I would say that its up to you.

Frankly I am astonished that anyone even knew what you were talking about! Learn to use real words, not just numbers and letters! Believe it or not part of the rules of Yahoo Answers is that you use proper spelling and punctuation!
PS - if you are a bad speller, that is what the little "check spelling" button is for!

Yes, go ahead, put it up. And don't be supersticious. Just think that your baby is going to be ok, and everything is going to be jus fine.
