If you think about it, when one is swimming they have to be moving their arms and legs together continuously. This increases the amount of calories burned. In order to keep supplying your body with energy the brain makes the digestive system act, telling you to replenish your energy supply.

Swimming is the most complete form of excercise. It excercises muscles throughout your body and therefore a lot of calories are burned. As someone before me stated, when the calories are burned the brain sends a message in order to relplenish your calories and energy therfore you feel hungry after you swim.

It does, doesn't it? I think it's because all of the exercise makes you constantly burn calories. Which in turn makes you hungry. Swimming is the best exercise there is.

All physical activity can make you hungry...but when you are over-heated it drops off....while swimming tires you out but doesn't allow you to over-heat.
