Plug camera in. Switch computer on,
Alerted Found new hardware USB Camera (SN9C120)
Wizard fails to find drivers on CD.
cancelled and drivers installed using Run setup.exe
setup informs install complete and correct.
Restart computer(as instructed).
Found new hardware alert again.
Check installed programs. USB PC Camera Plus ver 5.14.0.0 installed.

It appears as if
1) you have installed a bunch of support program but haven't installed the device driver, or
2) you installed the wrong device driver. Many of those CDs support more than one Webcam models.

Look for any readme files or installation procedure in the CD, then re-install. If there are no such files, you will need to read the user prompts and menus carefully as you reinstall and see if you missed something the first time through.

If that doesn't help, check help files in the Downloads webpage for your camera model on the manufacturer's website, or (last resort) call tech support.

remember always to install the software/drivers before installing the hardware. atleast that way you won't have to back track your problem. if you run into hardware issue again. then click on the advance and point to the disk. now try to run the software for the webcam. then, change the settings. sometimes it doesn't automatically load the webcam.
