There's alot you can check for.First get out your owners manuel and look up what fuse's might control your air conditioner.There may also be a relay depending on the make. Either one could be blown.Disconnect the battery and pull them if there blown replace them. You can get a recharge kit at the parts store and try recharging the system.Just follow the instructions provided.They also have leak finder that you can put in the system.You can fix hose leaks with a special high pressure tape.

Call an A/C specialist. It will take more time since it is summer. If you can hold out until fall, the prices to get it replaced will go down and the labor for the specialist will be much cheaper, especially if they do heating too since it is the off-season for both.

Have it fixed. You have a leak in the system. Normally it is a seal. Once the seal is replaced the system will have to be evacuated and then refilled with freon. Then you shouldn't have to worry about it for a good while.

take it to the shop, the AC probably needs to be serviced, freon could have leaked out.
