What do you think would be a better outcome of the battle of Thermopylae where 300 spartans fought 1 million persians.

1) If the Spartans were completely annhilated and the Persians won as did happen in history?
OR
2) If the Spartans were able to hold their own against the persians and the Spartans won?

The Spartans did win, for they completed successfully the mission they were asked to do by the rest of the Greeks. The held the Persians until the Greeks could gather their armies.

i think its just better to leave it as it is becuase they taught us not to give up no matter what the odds are and to fight and die for whats right but if they would of won at Thermopylae that would of been the greatest battle in the history of the world (which to me its one of the greatest battles of the world) its also one of the most heroic events in history as well
