well both candidates would vote, then there would have to be a recount of those two votes, and then whoever was from the biggest state would win due to the electoral vote they would get.

consider in the last presidential election just over 40% of the population voted

and most of that 40% was upper middle class white people

... and look what has happened to our country and our civil rights under this unholy alliance of big business and Christian conservatism

... more than half the country already doesn't care, and its apathy that put us in this position

my biggest hope is that people will get out and vote ... even more so for a 3rd or 4th party, so we can break up the power coup called the Democrats and Republicans

Presumably it'd be a tie as the candidates each voted for themselves.... actually, that wouldn't be a tie - the candidate from the state with the most electoral votes would win.

Seriously, though, that's not goin to happen, the fewer people who vote, the more the votes of the hard-core 'base' of the party matter. And we know what the respective 'bases' of the Republican and Democratic parties are, right? So vote.

It isn't going to happen so the question is moot. I will be there if no one else is. I haven't missed a Presidential election since my first one in 1968.

that's ok, they are going to easily come to a decision it in the very terrific court docket lower back and get in touch with it a democracy. who're the folk? they only get in the way besides. Bush and different perfect wing loonies could like us all to pass away so as that they are in a position to herald their fascist dictatorships faster particularly than later. Jules, lecturer. Um, don't worry your pretty head about this one. I don't think it's very possible. Now, it's entirely likely that only SOME of the voters will actually follow through. That may be a topic we can hunker down over.

Doesn't matter. Since we have an electoral college, the electors would still select the President even if no one voted.

I think we default on the Declaration of Independence and the Queen of England takes over.

We'd lose our right to vote. And it would be dictator Hillary all the way.
