The Padres play Take Me Out To The Ballgame (actually called The Baseball Song) during the 7th inning of every game except Sunday day games. Then they play God Bless America, because they have about 1000 Marine and Navy recruits in the stands at every Sunday home day game.

Frankly, get rid of it all. I don't agree with the Anthem at the beginning of games either. Major sports always complain about games being too long. Cut all the crap out and play ball!
If we must, only a recording of Harry Caray during the 7th would do it justice. Otherwise, no. He was the best and I'm not even from Chicago.
I'm religious but "God Bless America" should not be played during games. And I don't need to stand up and "Pledge My Allegiance" by way of the "Star Spangled Banner" every time I want to go watch a ball game. "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" should replace the Anthem!

The sentiment is fine, but GBA is a BAD song, too. Frankly, I think there is too much of that junk anyway. Pretty soon going to a game will be like going to Little Shop of Horrors. I'd like a little less structure and a little more ability to concentrate on the game.

I go to many devil rays games at tropicana field every season and we sing "Take me out to the ballgame" We should sing "God bless america" because we owe it to all the people who died so we can watch the great american past time.

I'd like to see neither, but if I had to pick, "God Bless America" would be gone.
I'd also like to see the "charge" cheer initiated by electronic scoreboards dumped down the toilet.

And it has become overused...just like too much of a good thing will make you sick or tired of the good thing. If they want to keep it, it should move to the beginning of the game, behind the anthem...
