I posted a well thought out article on Israel where I stated I do not support Israel and while I got some good answers, nevertheless it was far less then PC and eventually the article was yanked for reasons I have not been told.

I suspect that it was yanked because posting anything other then PC correctness and ruffling some feathers while getting people to think outside our comfortable little boxes ends up with free speech being thrown in a toilet.

The people here at Yahoo can be little Nazi thugs at times, and all you can get is canned answers from them that are full of PCism as to make me vomit.

Peace

The First Amendment says:
Bill of Rights
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

It only refers to the GOVERNMENT not being able to restrict free speech, not individual people/businesses.

Freedom of speech does not mean that you can say whatever you want with not regard to the truth. Freedom of speech means that you are responsible for the effects of what you say.

People report people that violate the Community Guidelines.

Free speech does not apply to Y!A. Free speech does not apply to your work place. Call your boss a jerk and see what happens (pack your stuff first). Free speech does not apply to you in my house. Free speech requires that the GOVERNMENT not restrict speech.

The first amendment doesn't give you the right to offend others on purpose. It also doesn't give you the right to attack others with your speech (think Hate speech), when directed at a specific person or group of people. The first amendment also doesn't apply to a private environment (think of this forum, your own home, etc.). It also doesn't give you the right to incite a riot or to incite panic (think about yelling FIRE in a crowded theater).

You think the first amendment gives you freedom of speech on Y/A? Might want to read that puppy again.

The problem is that what you consider your "freedom on speech" must fall into the guidelines and terms of service for Yahoo - or they bump your question and boot you.

First amendment applies to government action. Yahoo isn't owned by the government.
