Don't date someone when your depressed especially if your majorly depressed. It can make you feel alot worse than you felt to begin with. The person most likely wont know truly what your going through. Also they will miss out on the true happy you. Guys are sex obsessed and will try to take advantage of a girl and say all the right lines. Now when you are vulnerable, your defenses are way down. Chances are if your depressed you have a low sex drive. Some guys don't care. They will try to get a play anyway. So don't date someone if your depressed. You might do or say something you will later regret. I suggest going for treatment for your depression, feel better than date.

If you are depressed about not having anyone then no it would be a good cure perhaps. If you are depressed about life in general and down a lot of the time yes. All that will happen is you will push that person away and make them feel unloved. Then you have not only hurt yourself but someone else with will then make you even more depressed and then you end up worse than you already were to begin with.

No. Dating can get your out of the house and your mind off your issues.
Dating someone steady?
Just remember depression can skew your perspective so you may not be making the most healthy of decisions.
If you are dating someone on a steady basis, try to stay objective when making decisions. You might not want to make any life-changing decisions (like marriage) until the depression is under control.

Not necessarily- if you're upfront about it. It might be just the thing you need to help get you out of the Depression. Just make sure you (casually) mention to the person you're Dating- that you've been pretty "out of it" the past little while...-So that they don't think all your responses are all about THEM...

yes. for one thing, you're not going to be able to concentrate on the date per se, and for another, whatever you two share could put you in a very vulnerable state. My advice, wait a week. Eat some really balanced meals. Could just be your blood sugars are making you nutsy. Hope this helped. Type II diab. Mrs. T. in Va.

no.........get out and enjoy life. sitting home alone only feeds the depression. make sure it's with someone uplifting and possitive too.
it's just like asking someone who attends AA, should they go out on a date. Why not? as long as it's with someone who does not drink.
understand :-)
