Is the back up QB any good? I like watching Vick, but never paid any attention to his back up, any good answers out there?

Vick most likely will not play another down in the NFL. His trial will start in November, almost with half the season gone. Anybody who has red the indictment should know that he is most likely going to be found guilty. The NFL is an organization that has to keep an image, and the only things worse than an animal abuser like Vick is accused of being are a child molester, a rapist or a murderer. His sponsors are already dropping him and Vick most likely will spend at least 3 to 4 years in jail then the NFL will not take him back For all practical purposes Vick is done playing football in the NFL.

I really don't think he will ever play football here in the States again...maybe in some other country, but not here. I'm hoping he's sentenced to the maximum and made an example of. If that is what it takes to help stop dog fighting, then give Vick the 6 years.

Harrington is better for Atlanta. He really can throw better than Vick (which isn't saying much). Vick was a runner, not a thrower. Not good for a quarterback. And, Harrington won't flip off the fans, smuggle pot in a water bottle or be convicted of dog fighting and animal cruelty. Hummm, sounds better already.

Vick will definitley not play this year. He may not even play for the rest in the career. His sentence could come to 6 years in prison. That will be his six prime years in the NFL, and he will not be popular as he once was. The backup quarterback is better for Atlanta than Vick is. The only problem is he is Joey Harrington. He will be better for Atlanta's offense so they can focus on his style of play and not have to cater to Vick's style

As good as a QB Vick is, he will not return to the team. If he is convicted, Vick will receive a minimum of 7 years

I really don't think he could play this year even if the Falcons WOULD and Goodell would let him play. He is not supposed to leave he state of VA, as a condition of his bail. I imagine the Falcons and Goodell were both thankful not to have to be the ones to make the decision. But until the trial is over, he is benched in Virginia.

There is a interview on 680AM the fan right now with Joey Harrington, the Falcons new starting quarterback. He talks a good game, and let me tell you, he is a breath of fresh air concerning how he presents himself. None of this 'third person' stuff. The announcers on the show are really impressed with him. No one can know until a few games into the season how he will perform, but we all have our fingers crossed here that Joey is going to pull us through this mess. He has played for 5 seasons I think, for Detroit and I think Miami for one season. His stats were less than impressive with Detroit, and although he had some great games with Miami, (he took over as starting qb after Miami qb was injured about midseason) he finished up that season with less than stellar stats.

We in Atlanta are hoping that a with a fresh start for Joey and a supportive fan base and team here in Atlanta, this just might be his year.

I thought I read that his trial starts in November. It will probably last quite a while (a month at least). Even if he's acquitted, he wouldn't be available to play until the last two weeks of the season.

So, even if Vick is not guilty, he won't play a down in the NFL this year. And, if he is guilty, he probably wouldn't be elligible (out of prison) to play again for a couple of years, if he ever gets a chance to play again.

No, i don't think of so and actual wish not! i'm particularly ashamed to be from the comparable state as him. i could deliver some detrimental mail to the NFL in the event that they enable him lower back and that i evaluate myself a good Christian female! He could be put in a canine Pen with some Pit Bulls and Rottweilers that have been knowledgeable to devour a definite Michael Vick. could be Poetic Justice. Dontcha think of? I have been given a T-shirt that reads My canine hates Michael Vick on the lower back. all of us loves it.

Mostly likely, Vick won't play, regardless of guilt or innocence. Joey Harrington looks to be your new QB, he is a slightly better pocket passer than Vick, but immobile and has a history of making poor decisions.

Depends on what they end up charging him with. I think they are going for a racketeering charge, for the organized gambling and stuff. Those usually run 8-10 years. The dog fighting charges were just to get the ball rolling and see who is willing to testify to save their own hides. He isn't going to play this year, and probably never again. It's to bad, because I think he was about to turn a corner with his passing. I don't really feel sorry for him, he made his own bed.

He shouldn't and probably won't play this year.

He'd better have a sentence if found guilty

Harrington can't run like Vick, but he can throw much better.

Yes, I have good answers
