It depends on you.. I love dogs!;)

I hope you are kidding. There is a HUGE difference between owning a fish and owning a dog. If you have no more than $250.00 total get a fish. Dogs are very costly and if you only have $250 you would not be able to care for a dog.

if you want an animal that you can pkay with and will love you always get a dog. if you want a low maintanince pet that doesn't like being held at all and only needs to be fed once a day get a fish. 250 dollars is more than enough to buy a dog, toys, and food, but you are going to need more money to keep buying foood when it runs out. you will only spend 20 dollars on a fish, a tank, and food.

Save your money to take care of the animal and rescue it from a shelter. A dog will be a constant companion and cannot be 'thrown away' when you are over the excitement. It is a big commitment with a big reward. A fish is obviously easier to take care of, but it will never be able to snuggle up to you in the middle of the night.

Are you ready for the big responsibility for a dog? it requires a lot of work and it depends where you like if you dont have a yard do not get a dog because it may lack in excersize. And plus dogs are more expensive than $ 250 in your case you should get a fish

ok. a dog or a fish. it all depends on alot of things. do you have the time to have a dog. are you able to clean up after something. do you have the money to take it to the vet. dogs cost alot of money to have. they money you have will only start you but you will have to have more for the vet and other things. i know i do not how old you are or anything. but i think right now you might want to start off with a fish. learn to take care of it and save money for later so you can get a dog. then look in books and shealters to find your friend. but not now. good luck and god bless

Are you ready for the responsibility of a dog? If you get a puppy you have to be with him almost 24/7. They need lots of care and you need to take them out constantly.

A fish is less responsibility, but it's still an animal so you also need to give him love and affection. You also have to feed him everyday and clean his tank/bowl. You have to check the water temparature and make sure he's happy.

Good luck with your decision!! =]

foster mom of abandoned and abused doggies. 1st and for most. Cosider your time at home. Do you have enough time to tend to the demands of a dog? Is you budget up to the vet bills and the annual costs of ownership? Pottying outside is great but when they can not get there well....When they got to go there got to go. Are you equiped to handle things if you leave overnite? Or by chance if you have to work where is the doggie going to stay? If you have answered some of these questions like Ouch....Don't know...Then a pooch isn't for you.....
Cats are vet costly also...
flea treatment and heartworm prevent is appox 20.00 every month.
Littler box supplys are every going,
Do you want this kitty inside? If you love your couch de-clawing comes to mind. If you are partial to a boy kitty be careful at a certian age he sprays his tee teee to mark if not altered. Which costs over 100.00 to do
Go to www.akc.org and explore these and other questions before you jump in because the funds are there Please! Shelters are over-crowded because of the 1st thought then after-thoughts.

it depends on how much you are earning, fish cost a lot to set up properly then are really cheap to run. Dogs cost quite a bit to buy, then you have vet bills and food and training lessons, toys and all the things your puppy will destroy that you will need to replace. plus you will need to be home to toilet train ect. and you need a lot of space and to walk it once or twice every day.

with fish if you plan a big set up you need to think about if you want to move house later, if you have space, if they need electric heaters and lights, if the fish will get along ect. I would reccomend guppies as they are fun and easy to breed. if you choose fish you can always get a dog later.

it depends on your personality.go to your local pet store and ask about it.
be sure your up for the big responsibility.
anyways,be very careful when chosing a dog. if youre calm and laid back get a small dog, like a chichuahua or such. if your want a playful dog get a toy yorkie, toy poodle, etc.ask what kind of dog would be best for you at whatever pet store your gettting it at. if you want it under $250 look for ads on pet owners who are selling their dog or look in animal shelters. if youre not ready for the big responsibilty of a dog, then get a fish. just be sure to feed it a LITTLE everyday :)
