Criminals!! They kidnapped them girls for the WHOLE Winter! Plus, they made them scream to cause an avalanche! But, I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!! Afterall, don't most women want to be whisked away by their future beloved?? If it weren't for Milly though NONE of them boys would've been worth a lick of salt by Spring.

They were guilty of being in love. At first the girls were resentful of being taken but in the end they loved the guys so much that they all claimed the baby was theirs to insure that their daddys had a shotgun wedding that none of the couples minded in the least. They had intended to take the preacher with them and marry them right away but in the heat of it all they forgot him. Technically it was kidnapping but was because they loved them not maliciously.

Since the show was based on the ancient Roman tale about the rape of the Sabine women I personally would not call it romantic. Hollywood made it look much better than it was. Sorry.
