That Star Trek answer was hilarious in that I saw that rerun episode recently. Star Trek Voyager is rerunning on the Spike channel if anyone is interested.
Your question, although it may originally have meant to be comical, actually brings up a profound scenario.
What if an advanced civilization travelling thru our galaxy or even passing thru our Solar System stopped here on Earth during the reign of the dinosaurs. Abducting a dinosaur to do normal testing, disecting, experimenting, etc. realizing that it was still a relatively primitive animal with no advanced cognitive functions. Perhaps concluding that dinosaurs were too aggressive of a species and thought it would evolve to an overly aggressive semi-intelligent species, leaving with no intent of returning.
With no reason to return, or not having the ability or resources to make a return visit, was our one and only chance of being visited by an extraterrestrial species.
That is almost depressing....lol....=(

No. I saw an episode on startek once that was interesting. Basically, an intelligent dinosaur evolved but left earth and the solar system when the great extinction took place. In the show the dinosaurs and humans turned out to have evolved from some common ancestor.

NO.
Alien Craft are not equipped to accept huge cargos within their hulls. The HATCHES are way to small regardless of what some science fiction movies have suggested. Dinosaurs quite often weighed more than the entire Alien Craft itself did. Besides, dinosaurs had, shall we say, small brains and were not super intelligent. So their value to Aliens had to be on the lower end of the want list unless some particular Aliens were reptile eaters.

You should write an essay about that theory. I think it is a pretty good one and it kind of makes sense. But then how come they didn't abduct us?
Or why are the bones still there? The fossils?

I don't know but if they did I'd be very interested in what sort of civilization is still recognizable after more than 65 million years.
I mean, all of human history down to the first cave men is only about 125,000 years.

No, I believe the dinosaurs died out in the Ice Age.
I also don't believe that aliens exists, if they did we'd be screwed.
