I don't think it has anything to do with the gender. Typically, you feel the movements sooner in a second or subsequent pregnancy. You can expect to feel some movements by 16-20 weeks. It may feel like gas bubbles (or fluttering in your tummy) at first and you might be unsure whether it was really the baby or if it was gas. The kicks become stronger as baby gets bigger.

It just depends on where your placenta is, how active the baby is and such. They say 2nd time and on moms can feel things earlier b/c they know what to look for. Some say it depends on how skinny or thick you are. With my daughter I felt her flutters around 16-17 weeks but hard kicks around 19-20 weeks...they said my placenta was up front. With this pregnancy, a boy, I felt him first kick at 16 weeks and it's gotten a lot stronger and Im 23 weeks now. Found out the placenta too is up front. Every baby can be different also.

No, I think it all depends on the baby. When I was pregnant with my second child, a boy, he moved at about 3 or 4 months. From then on, he never stopped. He moved alot. My daughters first, a girl, hardly moved at all throughout her pregnancy. The doctor just called her a lazy baby, So I think it all depends on the baby, or fetes/

It does not matter if it is a boy or a girl, people normally feel the baby move at around 16-20 wks. With both my boys, I felt one at 16 and one at 20.

That doesn't even make sense. Typically you feel the baby around 16 weeks.
