I'm a total computer noob. So I have no clue what I'm doing. I just bought a new computer along with a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router. Model #: WRT54G
I have two desktops (I have no clue if they can receive wireless signals) and one DSL modem. I was hoping I can share the same internet connection between my two desktops. Thanks in advance to those who answer me.

The router WAN port plugs into the modem's Internet feed.

Your desk tops probably have the ability to link to the router via a cable already. They will need wireless network cards if you wish to communicate wirelessly.

You will need to configure the router using a wired connection - and whenever you reconfigure the router you need to use a wired connection. I would set things up so at least 1 pc is always wired to the router.

You will have to read and understand the manual that came with the router. If you cannot understand the manual, there is little anyone on line can do but basically repeat what is in the manual so if this is the case I suggest you get local help.
