Adobe Photoshop CS2 help ??

Question

When i crop my picture, the picture always shrinks . why ??? how can i make it not do that ???

i mean the whole picture gets smaller !! i just cropped away the edges, but when i crop it the WHOLE thing shrinks to 200x100 . and when i resize it, its all blurry !!

The Crop tool allows you to select an area of an image and discard everything outside this area. So the part of picture that remains is naturally smaller than the whole picture.
Perhaps you are not totally aware about the real size of the images: when you click on the Zoom tool three buttons show up in the Options bar (that one under the Menu bar): Actual Pixels, Fit on Screen and Print Size. Use the first one when you want to know the real size of your pictures.
