I was trying to find out what was on the land my parents house was built on before the house was built. Could anyone give me any info on how to find out?

The county records are a good place to start, but you can also go to your local library. See if you can do a reverse lookup (you enter the address and it gives you the name of the owner / tenant) on old telephone books.
If you do not find what you want, you can hire a title company and they can do a search for you, but that might cost some money. With that, if you need to take legal action, the title company should be your best answer.

Like other people said the county recorders office is a good place, but you might also talk with the neighbors. If there are any that have lived in the area for a long time they might even have pictures. It's worth a shot. If nothing else you'll get to know the neighbors.

you need to go to your courthouse and find public records and go from there . any clerk will be glad to help you .good luck .
