I have been very sick for the past couple of weeks. Not the typical "I have a cold" sick but in the bed with weird & debilitating symptoms. I had an appointment to see the doctor on Monday for bloodwork but my husband's truck wouldn't start so he took my vehicle leaving me stranded & I missed my appointment. Ok, he's been working 12 hour days & I've been trying to take care of our 3 kids, keep the dishes washed, clothes washed & kids fed barely able to walk & in constant pain. This morning he was "knocking on the door" & when I didn't respond in a positive way he asked me if "I just never thought about sex anymore."

Ok, here is what I need to know. Men are you just:

a) really that stupid
b) really that selfish
c) really so controlled by your dick that you have no ability to feel compassion
or
d) all of the above

Please....any insight you can give would be greatly appreciated.

He couldn't call in to work because he was starting a new job this week after a long layoff. He knows VERY WELL how sick I am & our sex life has been normal until this time. In fact we've had sex once since I've been sick. I have never been sick or played sick or been hospitilized other than to give birth to out children. I am very seriously sick & I'm just dumbfounded that this man who supposedly loves me is so insensitive. It's almost juvenile the way the hormones rule over common sense, decency or compassion. BTW, I don't have the money OR the energy to take my kids out to a restaurant or the clothes to the laundromat.

Ordinarily I would just blow off your sexist question, but feel the need to let you know a couple of things first. Your husband is an insensitive slug but that by no means, means that all men are like that. Also after all the bad that you have to say about your husband, what does that say about you? After all your the one that married him missy. Saying that all men are controlled by they're ***** is like saying that all women try to blackmail men with her *ussy.
It's absolutely no wander that you two aren't getting along as I'm sure that he getting tired of Miss attitude. If you don't particularly like this kind of answer, then learn to word your questions less sexist. Now that I got that off my chest..... YeeHaw two points !!!

Nice... you frame the question to make all men bad guys who either stupid, selfish, sex-obsessed, or all of the above.

You know what men need? To know that they are loved and valued by the woman they love more than anything in the world.

I'm sorry you're sick. I'm even sorrier that your husband feels unloved. And no, it doesn't have anything to do with you not wanting to have sex this morning. That's just your latest justification (and a valid one in this instance). For him to throw out the statement that you 'never thought about sex anymore' tells me that you've got a long history of not making him feel loved and valued. And to follow up with a string of insults aimed at all men everywhere speaks volumes about the way you treat (or mistreat) him.

You want a man who loves you, who'll support you, will move mountains for you? Than stop using contempt, bitterness, 'I'm so hurt', 'you're so selfish', etc and start treating your man like you really love him. Again that doesn't mean sex in particular (though I have no idea why you would withold unless you have a long history of constant pain in that area - not just during your sickness - and if so why the heck haven't you gotten to a doctor to straighten that out?) I'm talking about treating your man like he's your man.

Number one: Has this JUST stopped in the past few weeks, or has it been fading for a while now?
Number two: IMPORTANTS LADIES... LISTEN.
Doing the dishes or watching the kids or feeding or clothes... these are all things that can be done by anyone without breaking the "golden rule" of marriage. Bringing the kids out to eat isn't cheating. Going to a laundromat isn't cheating.
The ONE thing that ONLY YOU can provide is also the one thing that you are so quick to shrug off as unimportant or selfish.
Give us another option for sexual contact and we'll leave you alone!

I am a woman but I do have to say some women are at fault...not just men. It has been more than 2wks and you havent gave even the slightest bit of affection to your husband what is suppose to think? Yes we have a huge demand and yes we prob arnt apreciated half the time. But even though you are taking care of the house and kids...you need time to take care of your man. Many women wonder why their man is cheating on them or not interested in sex. It because you have turned them down soo much they are tired of begging. I totally understand where you are coming from but...think about it from his point of view. How would u feel if you were him? would you even feel loved from your spouse? I just went through this and I now understand from a mans point of view. HOpe you Get Well

Because one man acts that way doesn't mean all men do. I hope you can re-read your question and see that your comments might be taken to mean that you are stereotyping men, that is, lumping us all in one category-- abusive, stupid, selfish men.

Well then. I suggest you get an appointment with both a doctor and a marriage counselor. Your situation needs professionals.

I wish you the best. Get well soon.

It sounds to me that you have complained so much that you husband doesn't listen to you any more. Maybe if you would stop complaining about everything he would notice that you are sick. So the question now is are you:

a) really that stupid
b) really that selfish
c) really so controlled by your feelings that you have no ability to understand reality
or
d) all of the above

You husband is being a bit insensitive to you.
But at least he is interested in having sex with you; at least he wants you. Many women have a worse problem: their husband is no longer interested in them.
Your problem is easy to fix. Just make it clear to your husband that you are feeling quite ill and need some medical attention. Make it clear to him.
He will hopefully come to his senses and get you to a doctor and figure out what is going on.
Be glad you have a husband who wants to have sex with you...many unhappy wives are missing that you know.

I wouldn't call all men like that most know how to treat a woman. Your man is a selfish man! what you said kinda reminds me about Homer from the simpsons! lol

Your man is probably not a deep thinker so he needs to work on that as well as helping you around the house.

A good man treats a good women like a god and would die just to meet her needs, but I have found that most women are not worth the effort. Are you married to this "MAN" if not what does he have with you other than a sexual outlet? Demand respect but give love in return. Give him a list of what you need help with and how he could support you and then say I promise to make LOVE if you respect me and make me feel like a good person.
