How do you handle the situation?

I have had a neighbor flirt with me to the point where I could not go out without seeing him and having him make comments. I am sure glad he moved. LOL

Guess it depends on whether you like them and find them attractive, and that you're both available. And whether you were both sober at the time.
At least being next door is handy; you can keep an eye on them and make sure they're not cheating on you.
If you don't find them attractive, let them know straight up and honestly. Don't be coy and say "sure, let's do something some time" when you don't mean it and only hope they "get the message" when you keep cancelling. That's just chicken.

She is beautiful, and she has flirted with me on more than one occasion. I swallow hard, and make light talk because her husband is first of all a nice guy, and secondly he is a Detective 1st Grade, and has that gun handy at all times.

His wife was in the house getting us all another beer. I left and have not spoken one word to her husband since. To this day I have not told her why I stopped coming over and talking to him...she has never asked so I am guessing she knows why.

Never. In my old house, all I lived by were elderly couples. Now in my new house, their all married with kids, except the couple next door, mid-life and rich. Luckily I've never had to worry about it.
