i never correct someones mistakes. it's really not that important. (here)
what are they (the people that do) trying to prove? that they are smarter or superior?
they usually do it in such a rude manner too. i guess they don't realize what an *** they're making of themselves.

I have a real problem with incorrect grammar. I have corrected people. I have also angered a few people by doing this. I get a lot of " well I am sorry I am not as perfect/smart as you." However, I do not care, using bad grammar makes the speaker/writer seem ignorant.

Only if I can not understand or misunderstand the meaning your are trying to convey. In a forum like this where we are typing quickly and going on to the next question it is amazing there are not more errors than exist now. I rarely correct anyone. Just when the meaning is in doubt. Sometimes a misspelled word can completely change the meaning of the question. Of course people still get all bent out of shape like they are being insulted. So I usually just say nothing.

I am here to answer the question. I do not need to correct the person.. they have parents, teachers, spouses and others in their lives who can do that.
I made a simple mistake once and that's all a lot of answerers cared about. What about the question I asked? Didn't it deserve an answer?! LOL I found it funny and sad that people couldn't wait to point out my mistake.
No, it won't help, just upsets the person and draws away from the question asked.

Yes I do, because how does one expect to be taken seriously in the adult world if you write / speak like an 10 year old?
Yes, I do understand in your P2P world with all your bff's it's perfectly acceptable to speak that way, but there will come a time when you'll wish to be treated like an adult and it won't happen if people feel they have to speak down to your intelligence level.

Nope doesn't bother me... As long as you have the first letter and the last letter correct, you can even misspell and I will beable to read what you are saying...
