1. Go to the market and buy vegetables, fruits, and longganisa.
2. Have your picture taken at Burnham Park with the boats as backdrop. Better yet, ride the boats.
3.. Ride the ponies in Pacdal, near the church where two movie stars got married in - - - St Joseph Church.
4. Have a your photo taken at The Mansion, the official residence of the President up north. The lagoon in front is beautiful (when there is water - - - seen it dery once before)
5. Go to Mines View Park. While the park itself has deteriorated and has lots and lots of people, it is still a must see. I prefer to go there early morning, when you can possibly have the place to yourself. The Mines View Park has lots of souvenir shopping.
6. Nearby is the Good Shepherd Convent where you buy the best ube. Try their other products, too.
7. Since it opened, SM Baguio has also become a must see. If only for the design which is very different from all SM Malls (before Mall of Asia adopted the al fresco theme).
8. Visit Camp John Hay. They offer tours around the complex, on tranvia-like buses.
9. Go to the Session Road. It used to be that my visit to Baguio was never complete without it. But beware the pickpockets, stay alert.

The next list would be good if you stay longer:

10. Visit the Philippine Military Academy grounds
11. Pick strawberries in La Trinidad
12. Enter the Crystal Caves. Nothing great, but at least you can say you have been there as well. Do not venture into Cave 2 if you do not want to go home all dirtied.
13. Take a special tour (must be arranged early) to the mines of Lepanto.

Food and Nightlife

14. Nightlife is best at Nevada Square. Lots of bar options.
15. Restaurants you must not miss (skip the Manila food chains) : Cafe by the Ruins near City Hall, PNKY - - - a shabby chic setting along Leonard Wood, beside their bed & breakfast and curio shop, the good old Star Cafe along Session Road; Diners inside John Hay (in what used to be the commissary row), Solibao at Burnham Park (for the best pork binagoongan)

And finally, blow your money on ukay ukay. This is a regular to do of most visitors to Baguio - - rich or poor. Hunt for bargains at the complex of ukay ukay stores near City Hall/Burnham Park, where you find Bayanihan Hotel. You might stumble on a celebrity with 5 or 6 bags of ukay ukay loot.

Go sight-seeing. There are so many nice places in Baguio.
You can stroll at Session Road, shop at SM Baguio or at some Ukay-Ukay shops along Harrison & Magsaysay Roads.
Or go boating or biking at world-famous Burnham Park. If you are a Catholic you can go, pray or attend a mass at Baguio Cathedral.
Other nice parks/places to go sight-seeing are:
Camp John Hay (a very spacious parks plus golf course)
Wright Park (horse-back riding is a must)
Mansion House (the Malacañang up north)
Mines View Park (good for picture-taking)
Botanical Garden (go take pictures of native Igorots huts)
Fort Del Pilar (the home of Phil. Military Academy)
Tam-awan Village (see the different house/hut of some Igorot's Tribes)
Teacher Camp (many cottages, nice place to jog)
Good Shepherd (for tasty pasalubongs like the famous ube/strawberry jams, peanut brittle)
Baguio Public Market (where you can buy cheap native products, native harvests Baguio & Benguet can offer))
La Trinidad Capitol (a museum where you can find the remains of the Kabayan mummies)
Strawberry Farm (in La Trinidad, where you can find gardens full of strawberries and flowering plants)

A vacation in Baguio is worth to try for. No regrets.

watch the PMA drill on Sat at 10 am. Go to Pink sisters and attend a mass. Visit John Hay, go to the Starbucks nearby and just sit and relax. Go to La Trinidad City Hall, walk the steps and enjoy the view. Go to the Strawberry farm and pick your own strawberries. Rent a boat at Burnham Park. Count the number of steps up the Grotto. Have your picture taken at the garden opposite the Mansion. And last but not the least, try to shower in the morning without using hot water!

Some might not find it interesting but I always visit the Good Shepherd Convent whenever I go to Baguio. I just love meditating in their beautiful serene garden.

My most favorite memory is going to the huge, underground market, as i came to call it, because you go down steps and walk thru many large corridors and tunnels. You can buy ANYTHING there. We also played mini golf at the old army post, went to the huge mall, did the boat thing at the park and had pizza on the hill. don't forget to visit the giant lion's head, haha.

After doing all those things they tell ya,
go back to your rented place and sleep.
When you wake up, find an Internet Cafe and relate to us what happened.
