It sounds like the baby dropped. I would contact your OB and they will give you some tips. Get ready, because it should be pretty soon!

Castor oil is only a problem if it is ingested. So, if your not eating your shower gel, you should be ok!

Enjoy your baby!

Those are all VERY normal pains and feelings considering where you are in your pregnancy. The feeling like the baby is coming out or your having a smear is just the baby pushing into position for delivery this usually happens around this time and will only get worse the farther you go. The period like cramps are probably brackston-hicks contractions. They are the false ones before labor starts. This could be nothing or this could be the signs that labor will be starting soon. Watch for other changes or events to signal the onset of labor, ie loosing your mucus plug (this will be a thick mucus discharge that will come out), sharp rhythmic contractions getting closer and closer together, your water breaking (feels like you've just peed all over yourself), etc.

It's really difficult to wait these last few weeks. And with every change of your body it's like, "wow, is it time". It's also and exciting time too. Try as best as you can to sit back, relax, and enjoy all of these changes. Before you know it the baby will be here, enjoy the pregnancy while you still can.

If any of these other things happen along with what's already going on I would seriously suggest contacting your doctor or midwife.

Good luck and God Bless!

It sounds like you could be in the beginning stages of labor. Often it starts with what feels like a period cramp. It also sounds like the baby has dropped!

Your body shower gel is fine as long as you don't eat it.

You're getting close is all. What you are feeling is the baby's head rubbing against your cervix as he drops down into position to get ready for his entry into the world... I experienced the same thing. It's probably a good idea to tell your doctor though so he can ask you some questions and make sure you're not ready to go to the hospital.

sounds like your body just getting ready for labor, i had so many false labor with my daughter, I woke up July 30 at 5 am with contraction every 10 minutes, thinking it was false labor again, i waited it out took a walk around the neighborhood around 8am, by 10 am i was still having contraction every 10 minutes , but by then they were so painful, i went to the ER, when they check me i was already at 6cm , I actually delivery my daughter at 1:18pm,LOL, so if it hurts really bad, go to the ER!!
my baby is now 6 days old!!

I delivery her at 37 weeks!!

sounds like your baby is making his way into position to be born. it could still be a few weeks, or days away though. as far as the shower gel goes.... as long as you aren't drinking it I would think it would be ok to use.

do you think the baby's head is so low it is pressing on your cervix? If in doubt at all, give a quick call to the nurse at your dr's office, that is what they are there for!

Why not call your doctor or midwife? Sounds like you are in a hurry...instead of waiting for answers on here, just call your doc.....

I dunno about the shower gel...

Your baby probably just dropped but call your OB just in case.
