I have a 1984 ford f-150 and i can't find the self test connector where could it be

driver's side engine compartment close to the firewall. It's probably got a fixed plastic cover over it so you'll have to actually pull it out from underneath it.

this connection is either under the dash on the drivers side,,or under the hood on the drivers side up next to the firewall, make sure that in 1984 that F150 had a test connection

it will be on the side of the fender well under the hood on the same side as the battery

it has a cover and you need a star tester or somthing equivelent to pull codes. the cover either says OBD II or EEC IV

most auto parts stores will plug in and pull codes for free!!
(Murry's, auto zone,checker,pep boys)

It is on the side near the battery also it may be hidden under the cover of a fuse/relay cover I have seen them where you have to pull them down from it to see them

I wouldnt think that year of ford would have one but in the event it does it will be on the fender wells, usually the passenger side

BATTERY SIDE AND LOOKS LIKE A RECTANGLE WITH TWO PLUGS IN IT.
