We've been in this war for more than 4 years now, so every serviceman/woman has signed up or reenlisted during a time of war. They know the risks.

My husband and my brother are both in Iraq. They feel great about what they are doing and my husband is working with a women's rights group building their new education center.
They both are proud to be there and are glad that under General Petrais that things are getting safer every day.

PS They have had body armor for four years now, armored Humvees for three. Now if we could get the Congress to stop doing things like withholding their wages and holding up their supplies as they play politics with their lives.

Yeah, and i would like to apologize to all the 9-11 victims for not doing a thing about terrorism for 20 years. We could have tried to make friends or something. Get real.

I'm struck by how similar some of that sounds to a WWII 'Radio Tokyo' broadcast.

Absolutely!!!
Also, hopefully upon your return, your mental injuries will no longer be ignored due to the trauma and stress of combat. Hopefully, the VA will be afforded the resources and leadership it needs to help those among you who have been wounded in service of my safety.
Please realize that I would prefer to pay taxes to pay for the resources you need versus receiving a tax cut that has only served to devalue our currency. If not receiving an extra $30 a month meant saving just one soldier's life, I think it would be money well spent. If not receiving that extra $30 per month would afford more nurses or counselors to mend your wounds, the money would be well spent. Instead, we received TAX CUTS, while you received extended deployments.
